There are multiple ways to apply for a membership:
- If Austria is your country of residence, you can purchase a membership normally like any other resident. Become a member now!
- If Austria is not your country of residence, you can purchase a membership in your home country.
- You can purchse an online membership on the Hostelling International website.
- You can also purchase”Welcome Stamps” during your stay in Austria. All participating Austrian hostels will provide you with a membership card, upon which the Welcome Stamps are affixed. Stamps cost 3,50€ pro night and stamp. After the sixth stamp, you automatically receive a membership valid for a full year after purchase. (Not the current calendar year.) Please note that these stamps are not available in all countries, although your completed membership card is valid worldwide.
