Cultures of Europe

In the following days you have the opportunity to discover the heart of Europe with its diversity of culture, landscapes and languages. Europe is a fascinating puzzle of unique tradition and culture from one country to the next.

1st day: Budapest - Bratislava

On your first day in Europe you travel from the airport of Budapest to the capital of Slovakia - Bratislava. Take your time for a romantic walk through the ancient town with its impressive castle in the city centre. You spend your first night in Bratislava.

2nd day: Bratislava - Prague

Today you get up early to head off to Prague. Whether wrapped into a tender shroud of snow in winter or its roads filled with music in early summer - the golden city with its majestic castle and bent lanes reminds of a theatre scenery. Prague is famous for its opera, the puppets, the bohemian glass and the first-class beer. Enjoy a guided city walk by day and see the contrast when you experience Prague by night with your guide.

3rd day: Prague - Vienna

In the morning you have some time to shop around in Prague’s inner city, where you can find numerous stores. After lunch you will continue your tour through Europe to one of the most popular cities - Vienna. Take the chance to see the glamorous Ring-Strasse at night.

4th day: Vienna - Salzburg

Start your day with a guided tour of Vienna’s most famous sights:the Ringstrasse with the Hofburg, famous museums, the State Opera House and St. Stephan’s cathedral which marks the city centre. You can go shopping and choose amongst a great variety of souvenirs or you can visit the Imperial Rooms of Schönbrunn palace. In the afternoon you visit the Wachau valley, a World Heritage Site recognised by the UNESCO. Following the loops of the Danube you can watch numerous vineyards passing by. In order to experience the distinctiveness of this region, swap from bus to boat and ride along the Danube for a while. In the evening you arrive at Salzburg city, where you spend the night.

5th day: Salzburg -  Munich - Zurich

Salzburg invites you to time travel into the past with its impressive fortress, palaces and museums. After your city tour you head off to Munich - a city of contrasts, a metropolis smelling of beer and pretzels. In Germany’s southernmost city you find modern architecture and historic buildings side by side. In the evening you arrive in Zurich, where you stay overnight.

6th day: Zurich - Milan

After a city walk in Zurich your journey takes you to Italy, more precisely to the centre of fashion - Milan. Besides your city tour you have enough time to explore the numerous shops of Milan, as you also spend the night here.

7th day: Milan - Florence

From Milan you continue to Florence. Florence, which ranks Michelangelo, Donatello, Giotto, Dante, Machiavelli and the Medici amongst its sons, is a picture book of the Renaissance. During your guided tour you are shown the most beautiful sights of this marvellous city.If you get tired from so much art, you can best recover with a walk in the gardens of Boboli or a delicious cappuccino on the Piazza della Signoria.

8th day: Florence - Venice

Today you experience one of the highlights of your trip through Europe – Venice. Venice was and always will be a special city, an exceptional mixture of orient and occident with visible traces of Byzantium all over the place. Built into the ocean in its entirety the main streets in Venice are waterways. Thus public transport is almost exclusively by boat. This gives you the opportunity to take a ride in a so-called Vaporetto boat and to see Venice from its best side. The whole day is spent here, where you have a guided orientation tour and ample time for shopping.

9th day: Venice - Maribor

This morning you leave Italy to visit the biggest caves of Europe in Postojna. Later you head on to another city full of traditions - Maribor. Enjoy a guided tour of this city, taking in its monuments and sights and stay the night.

10th day: Maribor - Budapest

Spend your last days in Europe in another fascinating city - Budapest. The excellent Hungarian cuisine and spirited music will charm you. Long, elegant boulevards, stately buildings and a romantic waterfront turn a trip to Budapest into a special experience. During your city walk you visit the Matthias Church and see the famous Fishermen’s Bastion
