by car: coming from Brussels: take the E19 from Brussels to Paris and come off at exit 24 for Mons-Ghlin; coming from Liège or Namur: take the A42 from Charleroi to Lille and come off at exit 24 for Mons-Ghlin, follow signs for the town centre;
by train: Mons station (500 m);
by bus: free minibus shuttle from the station;
by foot: the youth hostel is easily accessible on foot from Mons station. Simply follow signs for the Grand-Place and Belfry (500 m);
from airport: Charleroi South Airport is 40 km from Mons; to get to the youth hostel: take bus no. 68 from the airport (stop 2) to Charleroi South station (10 min.), next take a train from Charleroi South to Mons station (30 min.). The Belgian Railways (SNCB) sell a special 25% discounted return ticket for the train + bus no. 68 to Charleroi South airport. Simply ask for code C61 at your local station ticket office.
