SUPERTRAMP GmbH – Das junge Reisebüro, the travel agency of the Austrian Youth Hostel Association was founded in 1983, originally as an additional service for members of the youth hostel association. SUPERTRAMP GmbH nowadays is a tour operator and travel agency.
The Austrian Youth Hostel Association is a non-profit organisation with the aim of building and running youth hostels in Austria. The association owns more than 20 youth hostels throughout Austria. Accommodation in the hostels is mostly in 4- up to 8-bed dormitories, most hostels offer meals.
The Austrian Youth Hostel Association owns the travel agency SUPERTRAMP GmbH at 100 %.
SUPERTRAMP GmbH acts as tour operator and travel agency. The outgoing department specialises in selling flights at reasonable prices, language courses, adventure tours and tourist packages.
Supertramp's incoming and group department is the tour operating part of Supertramp and specialises in tours and trips at reasonable prices. Our main destinations are Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic, but also the rest of Europe. The accommodation during the group stays are based on youth hostels or similar types of accomodation.
